Late Evening Excercise

This scene is also based on a reference; a photo I added to my favorites back in my DeviantART days, about... 8 years ago. The original photograph was taken by Gilad Benari, a very skilled guy with an outstanding portfolio. But 8 years ago I was still pretty much of a rookie, and I couldn't figure out how to achieve this POV.
Last night I stumbled upon this photo again, and I gave the scene another try...
The scene seems simple (only a tiny piece of shoreline and sea in the sunset), but some parts were still a bit of a challenge.

Created and rendered in Vue, textures are half procedural, half Filter Forge & PS, color & contrast adjustments were done in PS and FF as well.
