Frozen Lake

This might be a PID (Product In Development :) ) - it suits nicely in the season.
I started working on this scene with the goal to create a complex frozen lake with those cracks that appear when the water just starts freezing. Some reference photos I googled helped a lot.
The scene might not be finished yet, but the water already has 4 material layers, and I personally really like where this is going.
I did make some corrections in Photoshop to add more depth and contrast, but the overall look of the scene has not been changed.
I rendered a version with a clear and a snowy atmosphere (featuring particles). It's interesting to see how only the atmosphere can change the entire look/mood of a scene!
